Walking Away

I know some of you are reading this and wondering – hey I wonder if they ever closed on that house… Well, we didn’t. We went under contract for a great home back in March, with a closing date set for April. After months of waiting we are walking away from the house. Its a long and boring story, but all in all, we waited and waited, and when push came to shove it was just time to start over and try try again… on a different home. So we are packing up our little apartment, (we have a pretty awesome box fort kind of thing going on) and putting everything into storage – because we have to be out of our tiny little apartment in two weeks, and we’re going to be staying with friends while we close on a different home. We’re looking this week at another bunch, and I’m pretty sure that at this point we’re just looking for something thats not falling apart and is in a decent neighborhood in our price range. We can’t wait to work on and paint and design our new little abode, but really, we just can’t wait to get into a place that’s all our own. In the mean time, I’m planning a few posts of some tasty little desserts – as soon as we get the rest of the kitchen packed up. Until then we’ll be dreaming of a place to rest our little heads…
