2 Years and a New Year

Today is New Years eve… a time of reflection for most, a busy night for others (us). Its been an exhausting holiday… lots of travel, lots of food, lots of work and not enough rest. But its okay, because tonight we’ll hang out with good friends have a few glasses of wine, and ring in the new year with people we love. And tomorrow… well tomorrow begins Ryan and Alyssa Anniversary Weekend.  We’ll be staying at the Stoneleigh in Dallas… and spending some fun time just the two of us roaming and eating in some of our favorite places.

Ryan,

It has been an incredible two years, I can’t believe that the time has flown by so quickly. I have had a blast spending them married to you, and  I can’t wait for the next 90. Thanks for tasting all my sweet treats even though you don’t have a real sweet tooth… thanks for learning to like asparagus, cakes that don’t come from a box, and homemade granola bars. Thanks for morning snuggles listening to talk radio, for being such a cute die hard Cowboys fan, running out to by me milk, eggs, flour, and molasses, and for all the hugs that I want. You are an incredibly patient, loving, godly and giving man, I am blessed to have you as my husband and to call you mine.

Merry Happy Christmas and New Year!

I hope everyone enjoyed the Christmas holiday… and is gearing up for New Years! I hate to admit it, but when we cooked lots of yummy goodies at home over the weekend my camera did not come out of  its pouch even once. So, I’m leaving you with well wishes and promises of foodie recaps and pictures to go with soon soon. Until then, enjoy your family and friends… and especially the last few days of 2009!

PS We just got home to our little apartment from the long drive home from Beaumont… and our sweet little apartment is around 40 degrees inside. Its a nice pleasant cold… really.
